Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz, (pronounced NOH-vitch) is an Canadian actress. Her best-known work is her role as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand on the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) on the science fiction television series Continuum. She starred in the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is Polish and was a resident of Poland for a time during the ninth grade. She lived along with her uncle. She also attended an elementary school in Jelenia Gora. She then went on to pursue a degree at Vancouver Film School. She started her acting career at 10 years old after her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction. She began her acting career with the 2002 film Jeremiah and John Doe. Between 2007 and 2009, she played Andy Jensen in Kyle XY. She appeared in Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film, in the year 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a series regular) in the telenovela Caprica which starred Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. Hellcats was her next appearance. In 2012, she appeared as a guest in Jane Espenson's second season of her romantic comedy web show, Husbands.In 2013, Apanowicz was cast as Emily in the series Continuum She also appeared in the Eli Roth horror film The Green Inferno as Samantha. Although it was filmed in 2012, The Green Inferno was globally released in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science fiction thriller film Volition. The film premiered in 2020.In 2019, Apanowicz was cast in the recurring role of Sandy on the second season of Netflix action film You.
