Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara (Spanish:, born July 10, 1972) is a Colombian American actress and television producer, as well as a presenter and model. Vergara was America's highest-paid actor from 2013 until 2020. Vergara gained prominence hosting two Spanish-language television programs for Univision in the latter half of the 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was Vergara's first significant acting gig in English. Following that, she appeared in Four Brothers (2005), Tyler Perry's comedies Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009 which was nominated for an ALMA Award nomination). She first played Gloria Delgado–Pritchett in the ABC comedy series Modern Family, for which she was awarded four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and eleven Screen Actor Guild Awards. Her voice-over roles included Happy Feet Two (2011) and Escape from Planet Earth (2013). She was also in The Emoji Movie (2017). Vergara was the highest-paid Hollywood actress of 2020[citation required]. Vergara is an American judge on America's Got Talent since 2020. Vergara was raised in Barranquilla by a Roman Catholic couple. [8] Vergara's mother Margarita Vergara Devergara was a housewife while her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo worked as an animal rancher in the meat industry. Her siblings, five in all, and a number of her family members were known as "Toti". Vergara was an undergraduate at National University of Colombia in dentistry. Then she quit after two semesters to pursue modeling opportunities and show business.
