Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She starred as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules! between 2009 and 2010. Then she starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Revolution from 2012-2014, for which she received from 2009-2010 for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. Annika Johnson was the character Annika on the A&E television series Bates Motel. Since 2017 Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. playing Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owners George Spiridakos who were both born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two brothers. The family relocated to her father's home town, Skala, Greece south of Sparta, a few years after her birth, and returned to Canada in 1992. She is strongly connected to her Greek family and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos started acting in her junior high school. She then attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated Oak Park High School. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She found her first television role within weeks, a small part on Supernatural. She was a television actress for several more years and was offered roles in Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos was a part of the TV movie Goblin as well as the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. She also had a recurring part on Being Human as werewolf Brynn McLean.In 2009, she was awarded her first role as a star in the Canadian Teletoon series Majority Rules!, playing 15-year-old Becky Richards. Her feature film debut came in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she played alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags which was a Nickelodeon original film. Spiridakos was then offered a main role in Revolution as Charlotte Matheson (survivor in an unimaginative future society) and telecast on NBC television. She auditioned for the part while attending her first pilot season in Los Angeles. Spiridakos shot her pilot in Atlanta. The first season was shot in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was nominated for an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television for her performance in the initial season however she was defeated by Fringe's Anna Torv. For the second season, production moved to Austin Texas.
