Rose McGowan

"Rose") McGowan was born on 5 September, 1973. She is an American
actress. McGowan's debut in film was the comedic Encino Man (1992), but she
gained greater recognition for her role in The Doom Generation (1995) in which
she was awarded an Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut
Performance. McGowan's first film appearance was in the horror film Scream in
1996. Later, she was the headliner of Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh
(1998) and Going All the Way (1997). In the 2000s, McGowan became known to TV
viewers for her character in the role of Paige Matthews in The WB supernatural
drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan was also a star in Quentin Tarantino
and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007) which for which
she received nominations for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and the Scream
Award as Best Scream Queen. The album she released her debut album on, Planet
9, was released in the year of 2018. The album was followed up by a repackaging
of Planet 9 in 2020. In 2017, Time acknowledged McGowan as one of the Silence
Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year, for speaking out about sexual
harassment and assault, specifically in regard to the Harvey Weinstein sexual
abuse cases and the Me Too movement. In the year 2018, she published Brave, a
memoir, and also appeared in Citizen Rose, a four-part documentary series.
