Rochon was born in Torrance. Rochon was the daughter of Zelma Staples (a nurse practitioner) and Samuel Staples (a businessman and graphic artist). Rochon is a 1982 graduate from Cerritos High School in Cerritos, California. Rochon earned a bachelor's degree in broadcasting journalism from California State University Dominguez Heights (CSUDH) in 1986. Her other minors include theatre, sociology and theatre. Rochon was the keynote presenter at CSUDH's College of Arts and Humanities commencement ceremony in 2016.

Heather Storm works as a journalist, host on television and producer. Being a lover of cars Heather also served as host for Garage Squad at Discovery MotorTrend Network. Heather was producer and host of Drive Yourself Local. In the series, she travels with an old 1965 Ford Mustang on a journey across America and shares the small-town lifestyle. Heather has appeared in a number of television and film shows that include Nightingale as well as Epic Movie.

Ullerup was cast as Julia Brynn, a character in the remake series Battlestar Galactica that aired 2006 on Sci Fi Channel. The actress played Ashley Magnus on the Sanctuary show on television in the first season and the second one until the show was cancelled. It was her exit that caused heated debate among the viewers. A lot of people wanted the character back for a future episodes. However, the show was terminated in 2012. Ullerup was later cast in the role of Bree O'Brien for Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup played Maggie Thomas the estranged husband of Michael Thomas. Ullerup's regular role in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered series is Dale Travers since 2016.
