Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American television chef and host. She was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne W. Burrell is the host on Secrets of a Restaurant Chef for the Food Network, as well as co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde wigs and a pumped-up appearance, shares tips on how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home using simple methods. Chef Burrell studied and worked in some of the most prestigious New York restaurants. He has also competed in Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. While living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic learning experience. I just couldn't get enough enjoyment from it. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) as she attended an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy, Chef Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian culinary traditions. It made a huge impact on how she views food. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists kids who have challenges. Burrell speaks on her culinary passion and shares her expertise in the culinary world, as she regularly goes on trips across the USA in the roles of speaker and mentor. Anne said she felt lucky that I could communicate her love of cooking to others.
